From homeless to Final Four history, Fisk player being honored for his courage

Jeremiah Armstead turned to basketball to help him through a period in high school when his family of four was unable to find housing, sometimes sleeping on the beach in their car. Now his passion is taking him to the Final Four. Armstead is the first player from a historically Black college or university or NAIA school to receive the Perry Wallace Most Courageous Award from the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. Iowa’s Caitlin Clark breaks NCAA women’s career scoring record.

The University of Iowa’s Caitlin Clark is the new NCAA women’s basketball career scoring leader. She now has 3,569 career points, putting her ahead of Kelsey Plum, who scored 3,527 points in four seasons at Washington from 2013-17. (Feb. 16)
